Frequently asked questions.

What Is a Mobile Sauna Pop-up?

We’ve turned a vacant lot into a community space for destressing and reconnecting with yourself and others. The only inside space is the sauna itself. Everything else happens outdoors. Step out of your comfort zone and into the great wide open! FYI - We have changing tents and a portable toilet.

How Hot Does It Get?

Our sauna is a wood fired barrel sauna. That means the heat all depends on the flame. There is some variation in temperature, but it typically ranges between 150˚F-190˚F. When the session starts it’s around 150˚F, but as soon as some water is poured on the rocks, things start to heat up real fast! Yes, you can pour water on the rocks!

How Cold Does It Get?

The cold tubs are cooled with good old-fashioned ice and can get down into the 40’s. It’s cold but invigorating!

What Should I Bring?

Bring 2 towels, clothes you don’t mind getting wet and a water bottle.

How Should I Prepare?

We encourage you to show up hydrated. Also, it’s best not to arrive after a big meal. Lite snacks are okay - similar to how you would prepare for an exercise class.

How Often Should I Go?

To experience the cumulative benefits, we recommend at least 1x per week. Most people find that 2x per week is ideal. That said, even once a month is a great destresser.

Is It Safe?

Yes! People have been using heat and cold for wellbeing for thousands of years. Even so, if you have ANY medical conditions including high or low blood pressure, or are pregnant, you should consult a medical doctor before engaging in the experience.
